1. Vehicle Quality

Have you ever booked a car on a rideshare app thinking you'd be riding in style, only to find out you're riding in a tin can with wheels? When using a ridesharing service, there's always some uncertainty regarding the type of car you'll get. It could be a small, dirty vehicle that doesn't fit your needs. Some ridesharing companies offer luxury options, but there's no guarantee that the car provided will actually be luxurious. However, if you're looking for a stylish ride, a limo service may be the way to go. With a limo service, you have the freedom to choose your own vehicle, and you can rest assured that it will be clean and meet your expectations.

2. Fluctuating Price

One of the most frustrating aspects of using ridesharing apps is that their pricing is unreliable. The cost of a ride usually depends on the availability of drivers and the demand for rides at a certain time. If there are fewer drivers available than there are people who need rides, the prices may increase. However, this is not the case with limousine services from LSG International. When you book a limo service online, the price you are quoted is the price you will pay. No sneaky upcharges. No fluctuating rates. That means that you will always know the exact cost of your ride ahead of time and can plan accordingly.

3. Boring Experiences

Let's face it - the random Honda Civic that picks you up on the ridesharing app can't compare to a quality stretch limousine, luxury SUV, or party bus provided by LSG International. Booking a limo or luxury car driving service can add a touch of class that you won't get with a stranger's car, even if you're just hitting the town with your spouse. If you're looking to make the event extra special, then opting for a limo service is the way to go.

Limo Service Pricing

When it comes to choosing a chauffeured service, price is always an important factor to consider. It's a good idea to compare prices and get an idea of what is a reasonable price to pay. However, keep in mind that the cheapest price may not always be the best value. In fact, it's possible that the cheapest service may end up being disappointing. Always remember the saying, "Price is what you should pay; value is what you should get. "So, don't compromise on quality for the sake of a lower price.

Whether you're renting a limo or a party bus for a wedding or a major event, it's important to find a reliable and trustworthy service provider that can offer you the best value for your money. At LSG International, we take the guesswork out of pricing by offering online quotes, which you can get in just a couple of minutes.

Personal Referrals and Online Reviews

As you probably know, the internet is the go-to source for information - not just on people, but businesses, too. If you've ever used Yelp or Google to see online reviews, you know what we're talking about. Around 90%of people check out online reviews before making a purchase or visiting a business, and you should, too. A reputable limo service company with loyal customers usually has great reviews. However, you may also come across reviews that mention issues. This is an excellent way to gain a variety of perspectives. Don't forget to check out how the company responds to their reviewers.

In addition to online reviews, you can also ask friends and family members for limo rental referrals. If a relative or close friend has used a specific company for many years, chances are they're a good choice.

Car Service Rental Fleet

A reliable car service company should have a diverse and extensive fleet with different amenities and features to offer. It is important to note that their fleet should have options for accommodating different size groups of passengers.

As everyone's needs and preferences vary when it comes to using a limo rental service, it is essential to communicate the number of passengers you will have to the company. This will enable them to provide you with the most suitable options for your situation. They have cars that can accommodate two to three passengers and larger coach buses that can accommodate dozens.

Insurance Coverage

This might sound like a no-brainer, but any limo service company worth your money should have the appropriate car insurance and licensing. Don't ever book a party bus or a trip to the airport with a company that doesn't have the right insurance. Personal auto policies Personal auto policies won't cut it - you don't want to be held responsible if there's any sort of mishap on the road. At LSG International, all of our drivers are licensed, and our company maintains the proper car insurance to cover every vehicle in our fleet.

By Rick Zeigler—

MUNCIE, IN Acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated gospel/soul group Harlem Gospel Travelers will be performing in a FREE outdoor concert as part of the 2025 Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 13th at Canan Commons (500 S. Walnut St.) in the heart of downtown Muncie, IN. Doc and the Little Chicago Band will open the show.

The Harlem Gospel Travelers (HGT) story began when Ifedayo Gatling and George Marage met in high school. The group put out their debut LP, He’s On Time, to rave reviews in 2019, earning them high profile fans like Elton John and landing them festival slots everywhere from Pilgrimage to Telluride Jazz. Originally a quartet, they brought in Dennis Bailey and reconfigured as a trio prior to their 2021 recording Look Up!, their first album of all original material. Now, with their 2024 GRAMMY-nominated album Rhapsody, HGT are able to fully explore the entire range of music that has influenced them.

Their new record is a dive into a lesser-known but hugely important era in the evolution of gospel music. Starting in the mid-1960s, local gospel groups and singers began incorporating elements of popular soul and funk styles, and in 2006 Chicago-based reissue label Numero Group released Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal. HGT’s longtime friend and mentor Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed approached the group with the idea of digging through the Numero catalog and recording some of the gospel funk material, reinterpreted in their own way—from the high-energy, old-school soul of “God’s Been Good to Me” to the hip-hop-inflected “Get Involved.” Gatling points out that Rhapsody is intended to showcase the full power of HGT as a collective. “It was important for all of us to have our own creative lens,” they say. “So we picked all of the material based on the different sides of our voices and our personalities that we wanted to show.”

At a moment when the world is reconsidering the concepts of genre and category and who’s allowed to participate in which traditions, HGT are squarely on the cultural pulse. “We always found it difficult to stay in this one lane of what people think gospel is supposed to be,” says Gatling. “This record allowed us to hear people that were innovators in their own time, pushing how gospel music sounded, and now we’ve created this project that is message-wise gospel, but the feeling and the sound can be whatever you want it to be.”

The Muncie Three Trails Music Series is a non-profit partnership between Muncie Downtown Development Partnership and Rick Zeigler, series founder and organizer. The mission of the series is to bring critically acclaimed, national recording artists to perform at Canan Commons, Muncie’s premier outdoor performance venue, located in the heart of Downtown Muncie, and at the Brown Family Amphitheater at Ball State University.

A second mission is to promote the many recreational, artistic, and cultural attractions located along, or in close proximity to downtown Muncie, Ball State, and Muncie’s popular “Three Trails” — The White River Greenway, Cardinal Greenway, and Muncie Arts and Culture Trail. We hope attendees will heed our slogan, “Explore the Trails, Enjoy the Music”.

Editor’s note: Due to inclement weather, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Village South Residential Development has been postponed to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17.

By Ball State Communications—

MUNCIE, IN — Ball State University is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the launch of the Village South Residential Development.

The event will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17., at the intersection of West North Street and North Martin Street in Muncie.

This new housing project is part of the University’s broader revitalization plan for The Village—a public-private partnership with city leaders and private developers, including Trademark Construction, Schahet Hotels, and Fairmount Properties. The revitalization effort is transforming The Village into a vibrant district featuring new entertainment, residential, and dining spaces.

Village South will include 17 attached townhomes and eight single-family homes designed to accommodate a range of homebuyer preferences and price points. The site will also feature new green space, created in part by the partial vacancy of Dill Street. The first homes are expected to be available in 2026.

This project builds on momentum from other major developments already underway in The Village, including the University’s Performing Arts Center and adjacent Cantio Hotel, which broke ground last November. More recently, work began on a new Center for Innovation and Collaboration located just south of the University’s Alderdice Gates, at the southeast intersection of Ashland Avenue and Martin Street.

Community members are invited to join the June 13 groundbreaking celebration to learn more about the project. Parking will be available on Calvert Street and Gilbert Street to the south and west of the site, as well as in the Student Center Parking Garage, located three blocks away.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by June 10 to the Office of the President at rsvp@bsu.edu or by calling 765-285-5555.
