You can quickly order a car via your smartphone, and with in a short time, a driver will arrive to pick you up. While that seems like a good deal on the surface, ridesharing rarely works out like you'd think. In fact, there are many reasons why you should use a limo service instead of a ridesharing app. Here are just a few.
When you book a limo service in Terra Haute, IN, you're expecting a safe, comfortable, luxurious experience. But just like any product or service, you want to be sure that the company you're choosing is worth your money. Why book an airport black car service if the vehicle and driver aren't professional or knowledgeable? To make sure you're going to get what you pay for, keep these key factors in mind.
When it comes to choosing a chauffeured service, price is always an important factor to consider. It's a good idea to compare prices and get an idea of what is a reasonable price to pay. However, keep in mind that the cheapest price may not always be the best value. In fact, it's possible that the cheapest service may end up being disappointing. Always remember the saying, "Price is what you should pay; value is what you should get. "So, don't compromise on quality for the sake of a lower price.
Whether you're renting a limo or a party bus for a wedding or a major event, it's important to find a reliable and trustworthy service provider that can offer you the best value for your money. At LSG International, we take the guesswork out of pricing by offering online quotes, which you can get in just a couple of minutes.

Around 90%of people check out online reviews before making a purchase or visiting a business, and you should, too. A reputable limo service company with loyal customers usually has great reviews. However, you may also come across reviews that mention issues. This is an excellent way to gain a variety of perspectives. Don't forget to check out how the company responds to their reviewers.
In addition to online reviews, you can also ask friends and family members for limo rental referrals. If a relative or close friend has used a specific company for many years, chances are they're a good choice.
A reliable car service company should have a diverse and extensive fleet with different amenities and features to offer. It is important to note that their fleet should have options for accommodating different size groups of passengers.
As everyone's needs and preferences vary when it comes to using a limo rental service, it is essential to communicate the number of passengers you will have to the company. This will enable them to provide you with the most suitable options for your situation. They have cars that can accommodate two to three passengers and larger coach buses that can accommodate dozens.
This might sound like a no-brainer, but any limo service company worth your money should have the appropriate car insurance and licensing. Don't ever book a party bus or a trip to the airport with a company that doesn't have the right insurance. Personal auto policies Personal auto policies won't cut it - you don't want to be held responsible if there's any sort of mishap on the road. Earning top dollar typically requires more education than an undergraduate degree can provide. Doctors, lawyers, and professors need extra years of focused study for their chosen fields, but they're not alone. Graduate degrees in fields like business, teaching, and public health build specialized knowledge that can fast-track a career—and one's salary.
Many hiring managers view a master's degree as the equivalent of two years of work experience, giving graduate degree holders a leg up. In 2024, master's degree holders earned a weekly median of $1,840, a 19% premium over undergraduate degree holders. Doctorates earned $2,278, and professional degree holders earned $2,363.
Stacker used Bureau of Labor Statistics data to find the highest-paying jobs in Terre Haute that require a graduate degree in Terre Haute. This includes doctorates, master's degrees, and professional degrees. Jobs are ranked by their median annual pay as of May 2024, so any jobs without annual compensation figures available were excluded from this analysis.
Job security is another benefit. The unemployment rate for a master's degree holder is 2.2%, compared to 2.5% for undergraduate degree holders. Doctorates and professional degree holders' unemployment rate is close to 1%.
Employers believe a graduate degree showcases an employee's drive and commitment, but that comes at a price. Between 2000 and 2020, median annual tuition and fees for graduate degree programs increased by 233%. Unsurprisingly, median student debt has also increased, rising 47% to $50,000.
Depending on the career field, some prospective students may find it difficult to justify the expense. Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce found that full-time workers in STEM fields earned $128,000 annually, almost twice as much as their degreed counterparts in humanities and the arts. A graduate degree in humanities also only brought a 10% earnings premium over someone with a bachelor's degree.

When Mark Raetz left Terre Haute South and became the head football coach at Northview in 2013, one of the additions to his coaching staff was Aaron Edwards.
Edwards worked alongside Raetz for nine years before spending the last few seasons at Ben Davis where he helped lead the Little Giants to the 2023 state championship.
And last week, the Terre Haute North alum was announced as the next head coach of the Patriots, marking an accomplishment Edwards, who was an offensive lineman at Indiana State University from 2009-2011, had been seeking for quite some time.
“I’ve always been close with Aaron. He coached with me for nine years and then went to Ben Davis for the last few, so I’ve always been involved with him and his path,” said Raetz. “I’m excited for him to get this job. This is something he’s always wanted to do. He loves Terre Haute and Terre Haute North and he loves football, so I’m happy for him.”
Edwards won’t be the only former Northview assistant coach on the sideline for Terre Haute North this fall.
“It’s not just going to be him,” Raetz said. “David White, who’s coached for me for a long time, is going to go with him too, and so is Dillon Bell.”
That should make for an intriguing Week 1 matchup between Northview and Terre Haute North on Aug. 22, one Raetz said will be a test for both sides.
“It’s going to be interesting,” he said. “For them, it’s going to be their first game, so they’ll have a little more nerves than I will. But at the same time, I know it’s going to be a challenge because I know they’ll do a good job. It’s going to be fun.”

Terre Haute, IN (May 20, 2025) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries occurred Monday at the intersection of North 13th St and 6th Ave in Terre Haute. The crash, reported on May 19, prompted a prompt response from local emergency services.
According to initial reports, the collision involved at least two vehicles and resulted in one or more individuals sustaining injuries. EMS crews arrived to provide immediate medical care on site, with at least one person transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The full extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.
The area around N 13th St and 6th Ave is located within a residential part of Terre Haute, where intersections are often surrounded by local traffic, pedestrians, and limited visibility. Emergency crews temporarily restricted access to the roadway while treating the injured and clearing debris from the scene.
Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash. Potential contributing factors under review include failure to yield, driver inattention, or intersection misjudgment.
We send our well wishes to those injured in this incident and hope for a complete recovery.
Intersections like N 13th St and 6th Ave in Terre Haute are common sites for injury crashes—especially in areas with mixed traffic patterns, residential driveways, and minimal traffic control devices. Drivers may be less cautious in familiar zones or may misjudge gaps in cross traffic, leading to collisions with serious consequences.
Injury outcomes at these intersections vary based on vehicle speed and point of impact, but even lower-speed accidents can result in concussions, back injuries, or internal trauma. Timely EMS response and thorough crash investigation are essential for both medical and legal follow-up.
Beyond physical recovery, crash victims often face logistical stress: dealing with insurance companies, managing vehicle repairs, or coping with missed work. That’s why having access to support services and trusted resources can make a significant difference in the days that follow.

Terre Haute, IN (May 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred Monday at the intersection of State Road 46 and East Margaret Dr in Terre Haute. The accident, reported on May 19, involved three vehicles and resulted in the deployment of airbags, indicating a significant impact.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found several damaged vehicles across the intersection. At least one individual was injured and required medical attention. Paramedics evaluated the victims, and those with injuries were treated on-site and transported to a local hospital for further care. The extent of the injuries has not been officially disclosed.
The crash caused notable disruption along SR 46, a key route through Terre Haute connecting residential and commercial zones. The area was temporarily shut down while crews managed the scene and cleared debris. Law enforcement initiated an investigation into the cause, with potential contributing factors including failure to yield, speed, or distracted driving.
We send our sincere wishes for a full and timely recovery to those injured in the crash.
Crashes at major intersections like SR 46 and E Margaret Dr often result in multiple vehicle involvement due to high traffic volumes, turning lanes, and complex signal patterns. In Terre Haute, this intersection serves as a connector for local businesses, highway traffic, and community neighborhoods—creating a zone of heightened risk, especially during peak travel hours.
The deployment of airbags suggests that the force of impact was considerable. In three-sided collisions—often involving rear-end and angle strikes—victims are at risk for neck and spine injuries, head trauma, and other orthopedic complications. These injuries can require follow-up treatment, rehabilitation, and time away from work.
In the aftermath of such crashes, victims must navigate medical recovery, insurance claims, and transportation loss, all while managing the emotional stress that accompanies a serious accident. Having access to dependable guidance and local support services is critical.
If you or someone you care about was injured in a crash like the one in Terre Haute, Local Accident Reports is here to help. We provide fast, trusted access to medical professionals, legal experts, and recovery resources tailored to your needs. TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WISH) — A pilot in the crash of a World War II-era plane Thursday afternoon at Terre Haute Regional Airport was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment of injuries, the airport said.
The plane clipped a fence as it prepared to land, the airport says. The pilot was trapped in the plane after it crashed. A passenger aboard the plane received minor injuries. The names of the pilot and passenger were not publicly shared, but neither person was from Terre Haute, the airport said.
The Aviation Safety Network said the 1-pistol Grumman-Fairey Avenger AS.3M crashed on landing under unknown circumstances. The plane was used during WWII to fire torpedoes. Images from the scene showed the inverted plane.
The plane was one of three planes flying from Clermont County Airport in Batavia, Ohio, the Terre Haute airport said in a news release issued Thursday night.
“The first aircraft, a Grumman HU-16 Albatross, landed safely and cleared the runway. The second aircraft — the TBM Avenger — landed short of the runway, breached the airport perimeter fence, and flipped over, coming to rest upside down. The third aircraft, a North American T-6 Texan, was diverted by the control tower and landed safely at Sullivan County Airport,” the release said.
The Tri-State Warbird Museum in suburban Cincinnati owns the plane.
The museum’s website says it was preparing for the TBM Avenger Reunion on Saturday and Sunday at Illinois Valley Regional Airport in Peru, Illinois. That’s a city along the Illinois River about 150 miles northwest of Terre Haute.
Police said the Federal Aviation Authorities has been notified. The National Transportation Safety Board as of late Thursday night had not indicated whether it will investigate the crash.
The airport reopened one of its two runways in the hours after the crash.
