1. Vehicle Quality

Have you ever booked a car on a rideshare app thinking you'd be riding in style, only to find out you're riding in a tin can with wheels? When using a ridesharing service, there's always some uncertainty regarding the type of car you'll get. It could be a small, dirty vehicle that doesn't fit your needs. Some ridesharing companies offer luxury options, but there's no guarantee that the car provided will actually be luxurious. However, if you're looking for a stylish ride, a limo service may be the way to go. With a limo service, you have the freedom to choose your own vehicle, and you can rest assured that it will be clean and meet your expectations.

2. Fluctuating Price

One of the most frustrating aspects of using ridesharing apps is that their pricing is unreliable. The cost of a ride usually depends on the availability of drivers and the demand for rides at a certain time. If there are fewer drivers available than there are people who need rides, the prices may increase. However, this is not the case with limousine services from LSG International. When you book a limo service online, the price you are quoted is the price you will pay. No sneaky upcharges. No fluctuating rates. That means that you will always know the exact cost of your ride ahead of time and can plan accordingly.

3. Boring Experiences

Let's face it - the random Honda Civic that picks you up on the ridesharing app can't compare to a quality stretch limousine, luxury SUV, or party bus provided by LSG International. Booking a limo or luxury car driving service can add a touch of class that you won't get with a stranger's car, even if you're just hitting the town with your spouse. If you're looking to make the event extra special, then opting for a limo service is the way to go.

Limo Service Pricing

When it comes to choosing a chauffeured service, price is always an important factor to consider. It's a good idea to compare prices and get an idea of what is a reasonable price to pay. However, keep in mind that the cheapest price may not always be the best value. In fact, it's possible that the cheapest service may end up being disappointing. Always remember the saying, "Price is what you should pay; value is what you should get. "So, don't compromise on quality for the sake of a lower price.

Whether you're renting a limo or a party bus for a wedding or a major event, it's important to find a reliable and trustworthy service provider that can offer you the best value for your money. At LSG International, we take the guesswork out of pricing by offering online quotes, which you can get in just a couple of minutes.

As you probably know, the internet is the go-to source for information - not just on people, but businesses, too. In addition to online reviews, you can also ask friends and family members for limo rental referrals. If a relative or close friend has used a specific company for many years, chances are they're a good choice.

Car Service Rental Fleet

A reliable car service company should have a diverse and extensive fleet with different amenities and features to offer. It is important to note that their fleet should have options for accommodating different size groups of passengers.

As everyone's needs and preferences vary when it comes to using a limo rental service, it is essential to communicate the number of passengers you will have to the company. This will enable them to provide you with the most suitable options for your situation. They have cars that can accommodate two to three passengers and larger coach buses that can accommodate dozens.

Insurance Coverage

This might sound like a no-brainer, but any limo service company worth your money should have the appropriate car insurance and licensing. Don't ever book a party bus or a trip to the airport with a company that doesn't have the right insurance. Personal auto policies Personal auto policies won't cut it - you don't want to be held responsible if there's any sort of mishap on the road. At LSG International, all of our drivers are licensed, and our company maintains the proper car insurance to cover every vehicle in our fleet.

The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, the city of Forrest City and the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas collaborated to renovate Beech Grove Park in Forrest City.

Local residents, families and members of the community recently joined Forrest City Mayor Larry Bryant to open the renovated park.

“This means the residents will have a safe place to send their kids and come with their children, walk around the walking track, swing on the swings, and even have little picnics,” Bryant said. “It’s a new asset to the city. We had it in the past, but now it’s upgraded, and it will make quality of life in this neighborhood much better.”

Plans for the renovation began in September 2021. The updated park features new playground equipment with ADA accessibility, including ramps for each area, as well as a new pavilion and paved walking trail. Bryant said the ADA-accessible equipment will make the park more accessible to individuals and families.

“This should expand the population of people coming to the playground, now that we have ADA access to everything out here,” Bryant said. “It’s something that we didn’t have before, but now people who are in wheelchairs, or are disabled, they have a way to come and enjoy the new equipment we have.”

The renovation project was funded through the Feeding America Community Accelerator Initiative, which focuses on improving food insecurity through community partnerships in the Delta Region, as well as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s High Obesity program.

The Arkansas High Obesity Program is an initiative through the Cooperative Extension Service, the research and teaching arm of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, to address obesity in 11 Arkansas counties, including St. Francis County.

“We have been honored to have the opportunity to work with the city of Forrest City and the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to create what we hope is a positive physical activity environment for the community surrounding Beech Grove Park,” said Jessica Vincent, extension community and public health outreach specialist for the Division of Agriculture.

“Hopefully, we can help get people up to 5,000 steps a day on our walking track,” Bryant said. “It’s a nice track, it’s not underwater, everything is in good shape out here. We’re trying to have a place where it can be safe for everyone.”

A new roundabout is coming to the greater Indianapolis area, and no, it's not in Carmel.

Drivers southeast of Indianapolis will see construction over the coming months near the Sarah Shank Golf Course in Beech Grove. Crews will transform the roadway near the 2800 block of Churchman Avenue into a peanut roundabout, a project Beech Grove Director of Public Works Brad Meriwether said needs to happen after several bad wrecks.

"This has been a very dangerous intersection with a high number of crashes," Meriwether said in a message to IndyStar. "I personally have witnessed two very bad accidents that my department's trash trucks have been involved in," adding that the city-owned trucks were not at fault in either crashes.

'A hot mess':Downtown construction roils Noblesville streets

Where will the new Beech Grove roundabout be located?

The new roundabout will be constructed in the intersecting points of Churchman, Perkins and Southern avenues.

When will construction begin and how long will it last?

Construction began Monday and will last until June 2025, but the roads will reopen sooner than that, Meriwether said. The City of Beech Grove expects road closures at the Churchman Avenue intersection to end by September 2024 as crews finish the project.

How much will it cost?

Beech Grove's newest roundabout had a bidding price of more than $2 million, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation, which awarded the city roughly $1.5 million while Beech Grove contributed around $450,000, Meriwether said.

What is a peanut roundabout?

As the name suggests, a "peanut roundabout" is a peanut-shaped circular intersection that incorporates yield signs in place of traffic signals. They're also known as "dog bone" or "dumbbell" roundabouts. These unique intersections are essentially two roundabouts connected by a narrow waist in the middle.

While circular roundabouts are good for intersections that meet at 90-degree angles, experts say peanut roundabouts work well for skewed or tighter intersections that come together at roughly 45-degrees.

What other roundabouts does Beech Grove have?

Beech Grove has roundabouts at Churchman Bypass and Arlington Avenue and at Troy and 17th.

Other major construction projects happening in Beech Grove, Indiana

Meriwether said other Beech Grove projects in the works include the Hornet Greenway, which began construction this spring. When completed, city officials said Beech Grove will be one of the only school districts in the region with a trail system beside its high school campus.

"This multi-use trail project is a 6,000-foot extension of the Beech Grove Greenway Trail that will take the trail across Emerson Avenue, to Hornet Park and Community Center, to the Beech Grove High School, and beyond to Churchman Avenue," Meriwether said.

In addition to the Hornet Greenway project, Meriwether said Beech Grove is continuing a $1.1 million paving project in partnership with INDOT to address eight of its worst roads, which he said included:

Loss of 2 stillborn sons, miscarriage provides motivation for Beech Grove basketball coach

INDIANAPOLIS — David Sanders knew right away the first hire he wanted to make as the new high school boys basketball coach at Beech Grove.

His wife, Aimee.

“I told her the other night she’s going to be the team mom,” Sanders said. “She’s getting ready for her role.”

That designation is more than an honorary title. It is deeply meaningful to David and Aimee, who have struggled through personal loss the past three years. The couple lost two sons, Kingston and Karson, to stillbirth. A third, Krew, was lost during a miscarriage.

It has been a journey of indescribable pain for David and Aimee, but the heartbreak has also brought them closer.

“His grief is different than my grief,” Aimee said. “But we both lost our boys, and I think we’ve tried to understand one another through our grief. David’s passion is basketball and mentoring young men and being there for the kids. I’ve talked to other families and heard of other families where this tragedy puts a wrench in the relationship, but it has brought us closer.”

Sanders, 34, believes the personal devastation narrowed his focus and led him on a path to the Beech Grove job faster than it might have happened otherwise. The 2008 Beech Grove graduate, a three-time all-conference guard for the Hornets, set the career assists record at IU-East before going on to coach as an assistant on the basketball staff and head track and field coach at IU-East for five years. He moved to Atlanta in 2017 to be near his ailing mother, taking a job as an academic advisor at Georgia State.

When Aimee became pregnant with Kingston in 2021, he called then-Beech Grove coach Mike Renfro to see if there were any openings on the staff. He coached the eighth-grade team that year, the same season the Hornets won the program’s first state championship in Class 3A.

Sanders moved up to coach the junior varsity team the following year as the Hornets reached the 3A semistate under coach Joe Rihm. He stayed in that role last season as Beech Grove dropped to 5-19 with an inexperienced roster; Rihm resigned after the season but will remain at the school in the athletic administration.

“I think last year was kind of a ‘one off’ type of year,” Sanders said. “We didn’t have a lot of experience and it was a big difference going from JV to varsity, where everyone was bigger, stronger and faster. This (incoming) senior class has won a lot of basketball games in their careers, though. At the end of last season, we started winning and were playing some good teams close. Going from zero varsity experience, they got better and better.”

David’s first year back at Beech Grove was also heartbreaking personally. Aimee was 35 weeks into her pregnancy when Kingston was stillborn on Feb. 18, 2022. The couple got pregnant again later in 2022 but son Karson was stillborn at 32 weeks on April 28, 2023.

“It’s kind of the million-dollar question,” Aimee said when asked if there was any correlation between the two. “Karson had a bowel obstruction they were monitoring but they did not know if that was the cause (of the stillbirth).”

Aimee had been pregnant for 13 weeks with son Krew when she suffered a miscarriage on Oct. 20, restarting another cycle of grief.

“Honestly, David has been my light,” Aimee said. “I’ve watched him throw himself into basketball and his coaching and how he deals with his grief. His passion and willingness to help these kids and be their go-to person has helped me as much as anything. It’s helped me see that it’s not all bad. Not to say we don’t have hard days because we do. But he helps me so much.”

David, who has tattoos on his right arm to remember the three sons he has lost, has always seen himself as a coach. But his personal trials have only strengthened that view.

“It’s something that motivated me and shaped me,” Sanders said. “I really believe all the losses we had led me to this moment. This is my passion and something I always wanted to do and something I can do to fill a void I can put a lot of time and energy into. They always say you become a better coach when you become a dad. I wasn’t able to do that yet, but these kids (at Beech Grove) are like sons to me.”

Aimee and David intend to try again with pregnancy but are also open to adoption. They hope their story can also help others who are going through similar tragedy.

'Please God, let them live':Colts' Ryan Kelly, wife and twin boys who fought to survive

“You hear about pregnancy loss but maybe not as much about stillbirth,” Aimee said. “Hopefully we can help other people know you can be successful and live life again. It’s been a hard journey but fulfilling for me to see David pouring his heart and soul into our family and also the boys on the basketball team.”

Sanders said he plans to build the program on four pillars: accountability, discipline, toughness and family.

“Those are four things we’re going to talk about every day,” he said. “We want to make these boys into better men. High school basketball is a great thing, but my goal is when they go out into the world and are done playing, they are better sons, husbands and fathers.”
