Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham's alleged feud seems to be taking it's toll on the famous family - and with David's 50th coming up his eldest could miss yet another huge event

Fears Brooklyn Beckham feud could 'destroy' dad David as his 50th approaches

David Beckham is looking forward to celebrating his 50th birthday next month - but it may be without his eldest son Brooklyn. Earlier this year it was reported that brothers Brooklyn and Romeo are in a feud which believed to be centred around Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull.

Kim reportedly dated Brooklyn nearly nine years ago and it's claimed he and Nicola don't believe Kim has the right intentions for Romeo. Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz have been missing from a number of high profile events since, including the former Manchester United player's early birthday bash in Miami.

Now, with his actual birthday on the horizon, Victoria is said to be planning a 'top secret' trip for the family. Although Brooklyn and Nicola have been invited, fears are growing that they may give this one a miss too which would "destroy" David.

Speaking to Mail Online a source said: "Family is everything to David. He is a working class boy who grew up with strong connections to his grandparents and parents, and he loves nothing more than to see his boys, and Harper, being so close. While the location will be perfect and stunning, what he wants most is for his family to be around him, happily getting along."

Another source told the publication that "it would absolutely destroy David" if any of the fall-outs carry on and become big deals. "It would be the best birthday present ever for David to have all of his children and their partners happily having a wonderful time together. That's what really puts a smile on his face."

Victoria Beckham celebrated her 51st birthday earlier this week - but Brooklyn appeared to be the only member of the family who didn't publicly wish his mum a happy birthday.

The former Spice Girls member has since suggested that Brooklyn and his brother Cruz Beckham, 20, weren't part of her birthday celebrations - with them not appearing in photos from the occasion.

Instead of wishing his mum a happy birthday on Instagram, Brooklyn posted a series of photos of him and Nicola at the Coachella music festival in California.

Taking to Instagram, Brooklyn uploaded a series of photos from his time at the festival, captioning the post: "Made amazing memories this year x [heart emoji]."

In March, Brooklyn celebrated his 26th birthday - as David posted a gushing Instagram tribute. Sharing a throwback picture of the pair when Brooklyn was young, David penned: "Happy Birthday Bust x we love you so much have the best day lots of cake and hot sauce. We miss you."

Brooklyn Council Member Chi Ossé and park advocates are urging Mayor Eric Adams to restore funding to NYC Parks Department amid staffing shortages and deteriorating park conditions in Brooklyn.

Council Member Chi Ossé joined local residents and park advocates on Monday at Herbert Von King Park to demand full funding for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, citing years of disinvestment that have left green spaces across the city understaffed and in disrepair.

Backed by New Yorkers for Parks and other community stakeholders, Ossé called on Mayor Eric Adams to increase the department’s budget in fiscal year 2026, arguing that public parks are critical to the health and livability of the city, according to a press release.

Ossé said the Parks Department receives just 0.6% of the city’s total budget and operates with 845 fewer workers than needed. The mayor’s proposed FY26 budget includes only a partial restoration of prior cuts, which advocates say falls far short of what is required.

Citywide, only 62% of parks meet the agency’s “Vital Parks” score of 95, the benchmark for acceptable maintenance and safety. In Brooklyn, that number drops to just 25%, highlighting stark disparities across boroughs.

Advocates say the lack of investment has led to overflowing trash bins, broken infrastructure, closed restrooms and an overall decline in park conditions.

“Parks are among the most important places in every neighborhood for New Yorkers of all ages. A fair and effective City budget must fully fund our parks to the benefit of all,” Ossé said in a statement.

Adam Ganser, executive director of New Yorkers for Parks, warned that chronic underfunding poses risks not only to recreational quality but also to public health and safety.

“New York City’s parks – and the workers who care for them – are essential to the health, safety, and general quality of life of communities in Brooklyn and across the city,” he said. “Chronic underfunding has created major challenges for our green spaces, from trash buildup and broken infrastructure to understaffed facilities and unsanitary bathrooms."

Is it hot in here, or is it just Nicola Peltz? The 30-year-old model posed for a rather steamy shower photo on Thursday - and in case you were in any doubt, her husband Brooklyn Beckham was the photographer.

The brunette bombshell showed off her impeccably toned and svelte physique, as she lathered her locks in the snap, and whilst the actress narrowly missed completely exposing herself - it was Brooklyn's comment on the image that caught fans' attention.

"I took that photo," the eldest Beckham brother penned in the comments alongside three wink emojis.

The comment had mixed reviews from followers of the couple, with one fan writing: "Thank you for letting us know because we were worried [laughing face emoji]." A second added: "Maybe keep it for yourself?"

Meanwhile, others were here for Brooklyn's stamp of approval, with another follower commenting: "@brooklynpeltzbeckham too cute!!! Okay you two are a perfect match@nicolaannepeltzbeckham many blessings to you both!

Captioning the post, Nicola penned: "Scrubbbbaa," alongside a bath, bubble and pink bow emoji.

The photo came just days after the couple were living their best lives at Coachella despite reports of a family rift.

What's going on with the Beckhams?

The latest installment on the alleged rift between Brooklyn and his family came last week when neither Brooklyn nor Nicola wished fashion mogul Victoria Beckham Happy Birthday on social media as they usually do every year.

This comes after TMZ reported earlier this month that the brothers were rowing over Romeo's new girlfriend Kim Turbull.

According to the outlet, Brooklyn dated Kim a few years ago and he and his wife don't believe Kim has the right intentions. The site also stated that Nicola won't be attending events where Kim is present, leaving the couples estranged.

As well as Victoria's birthday snub, Brooklyn and Nicola have been noticeably absent from major events in the Beckham family calendar.

The first being Victoria Beckham's fashion show in Paris last month which Romeo and Kim both attended. Then came dad David's 50th birthday celebrations attended by all Brooklyn's siblings and their partners.

Then, last weekend, while the Beckhams marked VB's big day with a sun-soaked weekend on the family yacht, Brooklyn and Nicola were at Coachella.

Brooklyn's dad David did share a childhood photo his eldest son to mark Easter Sunday.

Despite the claims, the youngest Beckham brother Cruz did try to clear up matters, after Romeo shared a slew of snaps with Kim from their recent holiday.

One comment read: "It's appropriate to date your brother’s ex too? Cool," to which Cruz replied: "Brooklyn and Kim never dated."
